About Hensley Publishing and Our Bible Studies
Q: Is Hensley Publishing affiliated with a specific
denomination? Hensley Publishing is a nondenominational publisher. Because our
goal is to provide practical tools for educating the church, our
Bible studies are designed to cross denominations without
stepping outside the bounds of orthodox Christianity.
Q: Why should I choose a Hensley Publishing Bible study over
another company's Bible study? The Bible teaches us that we can measure the success of
something by the fruit it produces. We at Hensley Publishing
believe that God's mission for our company is very specific: Do
one thing - Bible study - and do it with a spirit of excellence.
The thousands of reports we have received over the years are a
testimony that our Bible studies produce life-changing results.
These reports tell of conversions, spiritual awakenings,
increased church attendance, renewed interest in God's Word,
revival, attracting the unchurched, and rededication. You can
confidently choose any of our Bible studies knowing you are not
purchasing just another Bible study, but one that withstands the
test of time - a Bible study you can boldly use knowing that it
will not be leading you astray, but drawing you closer to the
Lord.
Q: Do you have small group Bible studies? Our Bible studies are designed so they can be used individually
or in small group settings. Sunday School, men's, women's,
couples' and singles' classes, mid-week Bible study, Sunday
evening services, pastor's classes, and daily devotionals are
just some of over 30 ways people currently use our Bible
studies.
Q: What version of the Bible do your studies use? With the numerous options available to Christians today, our
authors choose the Bible version that best communicates the
meaning of each verse referenced. Most Bible studies use
multiple versions of the Bible. The copyright page of each Bible
study lists the Bible version(s) used in that book.
Q: Why haven't I ever heard of your authors?
Hensley Publishing's mission is to publish great Bible studies
that change lives. Our primary focus when selecting a Bible
study for publication is the message of the Bible study, not the
name of the messenger. Our authors come from diverse backgrounds
and denominations, but all are experienced Bible teachers who
have solid scriptural teaching. These authors and their works
are scrutinized closely before any agreement is made to publish
a Bible study. In addition, each author’s beliefs must be in
agreement with Hensley Publishing's
Statement of Faith.
Q. Why don't you have more Bible studies?
At Hensley Publishing, we do not select a Bible study in order
to fill a slot in a publishing schedule. Before we consider any
Bible study for publication, it must meet very specific
criteria. It must not be trendy. It must have been taught
several times and refined "in the trenches." It must do more
than simply impart information in lecture style. It must do more
than simply ask good questions. It must do more than simply
initiate discussion among participants. A Hensley Publishing
Bible study must interactively involve participants in Bible
study and personal application designed to bring the revelation
knowledge that changes lives.
